The training also includes Docker overview and architecture, managing containers and resources, comparison of Docker CE vs. Docker EE, features and use cases for each edition, understanding Docker Engine components, Docker logging mechanisms and configuring logging drivers, common Docker terminology, port binding in Docker containers, using detached vs. foreground mode, Docker CLI and container management, Docker Exec and container restart policies, image management and registry overview.


Furthermore, it covers Docker images and their role, Docker registries and image distribution, image layers and Docker Hub, pushing and pulling images, creating Docker images with Dockerfiles, common Dockerfile instructions, using Dockerfile for image customization, building context in Docker image building, the lifecycle of Docker images, image versioning and maintenance, setting up private Docker registries, authentication, and security considerations.


Additionally, it includes an overview of Docker storage management, persistent storage and Docker volumes, bind mounts and tmpfs mounts in container environments, an overview of Docker storage drivers, their role in container storage management, selecting the right storage driver, understanding Device Mapper, configuring Device Mapper for Docker storage, identifying and removing unused images, containers, and volumes, and automating Docker cleanup.
